CANCELLATION AND DISCLAIMER

 

1. General:

1.1 The unit owner and StrandHolidays acknowledge in good faith that the accommodation reserved is to your liking.

1.2 The advertised tariff is based on the full permitted occupancy over the full rental period.

1.3 The check-in time is between 14:00 until 17:00.  Kindly contact the office to make an alternate arrangement.

1.4 No reduction for a lesser occupancy or period shall be allowed.

1.5 Additional parking for vehicles and trailers on site, if possible, has to be arranged prior to arrival and is subject to availability.

1.6 Kindly provide your own beach towels.

1.7 No pets are allowed inside apartment blocks and units.

1.8 The negligence/breakage deposit will be paid back once an inspection has been done and only if the unit is left in a satisfactory condition.

1.9 Errors and omissions exempted. 

 

2. Conditions of stay:

The owners and the management will not be held responsible for:

2.1 Any damage, loss, death, or injury sustained by whatever cause of any guest, visitor or any person while every reasonable precaution has been taken to ensure the safety of guests and their possessions.

2.2  Any person who signs the check in document and who is accompanied or visited by any other person, or who is accompanied or visited later by any other person, indemnify the owner and or StrandHolidays against any liability towards any person in the instances explained in the conditions in paragraph 2.1 and 2.2.

2.3 The guest, by completing and signing the booking form, warrants that he/she is duly authorized to sign for and bind all persons represented by him/her or for whom he/she is responsible to those conditions of residence and failing such authority, agrees to be personally liable for all claims arising from the residence of himself/herself and his/her party at StrandHolidays.

 

3. Payment and outstanding charges:

3.1 Payment of the rental deposit constitutes an acceptance of the terms and conditions which can be found on the website of StrandHolidays.

3.2 On confirmation of reservation, the completion of the confirmation form; a copy of the ID document/passport; full credit card details and a 50% deposit must be provided by the guest to StrandHolidays to secure the reservation and adhere to the terms and conditions of StrandHolidays.

3.3 The final balance of the accommodation payment must be done 10 days prior to arrival.

Keys to the unit will be issued only after full payment is received.

3.4 All outstanding charges on properties booked, but not paid for at time of departure, will automatically be deducted from a guest’s credit card or negligence/breakage deposit; this includes late checkout, transfers and cleaning services, breakages, losses and anything else related to your stay, which is not covered by the negligence/breakage deposit.

 

4. Number of persons occupying the premises:

The number of guests throughout the rental period must not exceed the number stated on the reservation document.

Should management find more persons than those recorded occupying the premises, it is totally in his/her discretion to cancel the rental and ask the guests to vacate the property alternatively to add an additional charge.

 

5. Amendments and cancellations by StrandHolidays:

Though it is unlikely that we shall have to make any changes to confirmed arrangements, it might happen and, you will be advised at the earliest possible date.

If for any reason beyond our control, we are unable to provide you with the premises you have booked, we reserve the right to transfer you to a similar premises.

However, if this is not possible or you do not wish to be transferred, we shall cancel the reservation and refund the deposit paid to us for the premises but we shall however not be liable for any cancellation charges and travel arrangements.

 

6. Cancellation:

Consumers have the right to cancel any advance reservations, bookings or orders, except cancellations in December, which will not be entertained nor allowed.

StrandHolidays is entitled to impose a reasonable charge for the cancellation of reservations, bookings or orders, because of the nature of the transaction and the specific circumstances as follows:

 

Cancellation of 0 - 7 days prior to arrival, forfeits 100% of deposit.

Cancellation of 7 - 14 days prior to arrival, forfeits 75% of deposit.

Cancellation of 14 - 21 days prior to arrival, forfeits 50% of deposit.

Cancellation of 21 - 28 days prior to arrival date forfeits 25% of deposit.

Cancellation at all other relevant times forfeits 25% of the total rental and the administration fee is non-refundable.

 

7. Behaviour:

The guests staying at StrandHolidays are responsible for the correct and decent behaviour of him/her and those occupying under him/her and are bound to the conduct and house rules of the relevant accommodation.

Should management find this behavior by reasonable civilized standards unacceptable, the management in its own discretion may ask the client and those occupying under him/her to vacate the premises.

All moneys paid by the guest will be forfeited.

 

8. Smoking:

For the comfort of all guests, we do not allow any smoking inside units.

If smoking guests are discovered, they will be charged a penalty payment to cover the cost of dry-cleaning, smoke odour and damages.

 

9. Complaints:

If you have any problems during your stay, feel free to contact a member of the management team.
